It is well and truly spring here in the UK, and the weather has surprisingly been pretty decent. So with a new found *spring* (i’m sorry) in my step I thought I’d share my current go-to lip shades for the season.
*Disclaimer: I am not associated with any of the brands listed below.*
NYX Butter Gloss in ‘Vanilla Cream Pie’
I found this in the NYX store in Leeds last week and it’s the first lip gloss I’ve bought in literally YEARS, and honestly i’m so glad I did. I’m usually a devout lipstick user but this little lip gloss is so comfy to wear and the color is so cute. Although it looks really bright in the bottle, on the lip the color is a bit more natural looking; making it perfect for everyday wear. You can find it HERE.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Palette, Mixing Colors ‘9’ and ‘Primary 1’
Okay, so I’m really loving violet-like shades at the moment so I mixed up this color using the Anastasia Beverly Hills lip Palette. I’m obsessed with the whole palette but I appreciate it’s a bit pricey! Violet lip shades are a great way to add a fun pop of color to your spring look, and it’s nice to wear something a bit different once in a while. You can find the Anastasia Palette HERE and a similar single lip shade HERE
Estée Lauder Liquid Lipstick in ‘Wine Shot’
This color was actually a Christmas present from my good friend Rebe. It’s a really deep purpley-red, which is typically associated with colder seasons but I think it can still work in the spring; especially in the evening. Pair with a blouse and some heels and you’re good to go! You can find it HERE.
NYX Powder Puff Lippie in ‘Boys Tears’
I picked this color up on the same day as the NYX Butter Gloss and honestly I was just curious about the applicator. I’ve honestly never seen a lipstick applicator like it and I was pleasantly surprised about how easily it applied. It’s a warmer red so it’s perfect for a day time look, and can make it LOOK like I’ve tried to be put together when popping to town when I haven’t. You can find it HERE.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in ‘Blushing Mauve’
I’ve had this color since last summer but it’s one i’m wearing A LOT at the moment. It looks super natural and is a great color for everyday wear, and can be also be used to compliment a bolder eye look in the evening. You can find it HERE.
